Use the "Run Configuration" button (main screen, top right) and then navigate to the .tmc file. Map your axes first, then the really obvious stuff like trigger, pickle, trim, stuff like that. Then just get into the training, and map stuff as it comes up. That's the most consistent way to build a good mapping that I've found. Yeah, that's what I've been doing too. Its a lot of buttons for me.
